The Story Behind Paani
Paani was invented by a pharmacist, Rifat Parvez, and his wife Amy, a registered nurse. With nearly 30 years experience in health care, she had witnessed her mother and many other adults suffer from debilitating bone fractures caused by osteoporosis.
Amy realized that she and her mother, as well as her own children, often struggled to swallow large calcium tablets. “Why not put calcium in water?” she asked her husband, who had spent more than 20 years developing calcium products.
